Mr Magramane chairs the first session of the Algerian-Japanese Intergovernmental Economic Committee

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Lounès Magramane, co-chaired on Sunday the 1st Algerian-Japanese Joint Economic Intergovernmental Committee in Algiers alongside the Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hisashi Matsumoto.
This session follows the July 2023 signing of the agreement establishing the Algerian-Japanese Joint Economic Intergovernmental Committee.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the various aspects of cooperation and partnership between Algeria and Japan, and prospects for strengthening them, particularly in priority areas such as renewable energy, industry, start-ups and digitalization.
The two parties also explored ways to boost trade and establish win-win partnerships between economic operators that serve their common interests, particularly in view of the potential of both countries.
