Certification of documents intended to use abroad
The certification of official documents issued by Algerian administrations for use abroad is conducted through the following procedures:
1/ submission via the "T@SDIK" service through "Algeria Post" offices :
Starting from August 2025, the documents may be certified under the following conditions:
- Documents must be pre-certified by the relevant institution or the supervisory ministerial department of the issuing authority, in accordance with the jurisdiction of each ministerial sector.
- A 20 Algerian dinar fiscal stamp must be affixed to each document submitted for certification.
- The submission form, available in both Arabic and French, can be downloaded from the official websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Algeria Post. All personal data and document details must be accurately completed on the form, mentioning the Country of destination for these documents.
- To submit documents for certification, citizens should visit any Algeria Post office located at provincial headquarters, ensuring that two signed copies of the submission form are attached.
- Algeria Post offices will be responsible for forwarding the documents to the Civil Status Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- The Civil Status Department will process requests submitted by citizens. Documents that meet the legal requirements will be certified and returned to the sender.
- Citizens may track the status of their request in real time via the 'Tracemail' service. Notifications will be sent when the documents are received by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and when they are ready for collection from the same Algeria Post office where they were initially submitted.

2/ In-person submission to the Civil Status Department:
Citizens may also present their documents, in person, at the Civil Status Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for certification for use abroad, under the following conditions:
- Documents must be pre-certified by the relevant institution or the supervisory ministerial department of the issuing authority, in accordance with the jurisdiction of each ministerial sector.
- A 20 Algerian Dinar fiscal stamp must be affixed to each document submitted for certification.
Note:
Algerian public documents intended for use in France are exempt from the certification process, in accordance with Article 36 of the Algerian-French Judiciary Protocol, dated 12 August 1962.
3/ By personally presenting themselves at the regional annexs of the civil registry service:
Regional annex in Constantine: 06 Rue Zighoud Youcef, 25000, Constantine, Algeria
Regional annex in Oran: Route nationale 04, Cité Djamel, 31000, Oran, Algeria.
Regional Annex in Ouargla: Rue Rouabah Abderrahmane (opposite the Directorate of Water Resources), 30015, Ouargla, Algeria
