Mr. Chaib participates in the celebration commemorating the Amazigh New Year 2976, which was organized by the Algerian consulate in Montpellier, via videoconference.

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr Sofiane Chaib, participated on Sunday via videoconference in the celebration of the Amazigh New Year 2976. The event was organized by the Algerian Consulate in Montpellier in coordination with community actors in the city of Alès.

In his speech on this occasion, the Secretary of State noted that this event reflects the Ministry's commitment to a year of sustained communication with the community abroad.
He pointed out that the program organized for the Amazigh New Year by diplomatic and consular representations aims to address the cultural, linguistic, and identity concerns of the community, in line with their attachment to their homeland and the components of national identity.

In this regard, the Secretary of State highlighted the special nature of this year's celebration for the national community living abroad, which participated in the sixth edition of the President of the Republic's Prize for Amazigh Literature and Language. This was made possible through the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the High Commission for Amazighity (HCA).

The Secretary of State also highlighted the Ministry's efforts to launch initiatives aimed at strengthening ties with the various components of national identity. He reviewed the significant progress made by the State in promoting the Amazigh language as a fundamental pillar of a unifying national identity, in accordance with the instructions of the country's high authorities, which have consistently emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting all dimensions of national identity.
