Mr. Attaf receives his Nigerian counterpart

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received at the ministry's headquarters on Thursday, the Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, who is on an official visit to Algeria.

The meeting was an opportunity to look at the joint efforts to promote the relations of brotherhood and cooperation between Algeria and Nigeria.

The two ministers agreed to start the preparation for the next meeting of the High Joint Cooperation Commission between the two sister countries.

The two officials exchanged views and analyses on a number of international and regional issues, especially the joint African action, under the banner of the African Union (AU), and the political and security developments in the common space of the two countries, in the Sahel region.
