Mr. Attaf receives his Ethiopian counterpart

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Wednesday at the ministry’s headquarters, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Gedion Timothewos, who is paying an official visit to Algeria, the ministry said in a press release.

The meeting “enabled to review the state of Algerian-Ethiopian relations and examining ways to maintain their positive momentum, particularly as part of implementing the recommendations of the 5th Algerian-Ethiopian Intergovernmental Commission, held last April in Addis Ababa,” said the same source.

The two ministers also discussed “the main files on the African Union agenda” and exchanged views and analyses on “the current regional situation in the Sahelo-Saharan region and in the Horn of Africa,” according to the same source.
