Mr. Attaf received a phone call from his Egyptian counterpart

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad and African Affairs ,Mr.Ahmed Attaf received a phone call this evening from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr.Badr Abdel Aty on Saturday.

According to the statement, the call was an opportunity to discuss the various dimensions of the fraternal relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries and explore prospects for taking them to new heights in the context of the preparations for the meeting of the Joint Higher Committee, in line with the high-level guidelines provided by the two heads of state during their recent telephone conversation.

The two ministers also tackled a number of current regional issues, particularly the latest developments in the Palestinian question following the coming into force of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, as well as the situation in Libya ahead of the upcoming meeting of the tripartite neighbourhood mechanism, to be hosted by Algeria.
