Mr Attaf received the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Monday, at the ministry headquarters, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Mariano Grossi, who is on an official visit to Algeria.

The Minister of State held one-on-one meeting with Grossi, followed by broader discussions involving members of the two sides’ delegations.

The talks provided an opportunity to review cooperation between Algeria and the IAEA on peaceful nuclear energy use, and to explore ways to expand and enhance this partnership, particularly in areas linked to sustainable development such as healthcare, agriculture, water resources, and renewable energy.

Both parties also discussed ways to continue working together to help African countries access nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
