Mr. Attaf holds talks in Jeddah with the secretary general of the OIC

The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, on Tuesday, held bilateral discussions with the secretary general (SG) of the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Ibrahim Taha.

The meeting focused on the developments of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip and the ways to increase the required steps and pressure by Muslim countries to put an end to the Israeli onslaught.

The minister emphasized Algeria's main priorities at the UN Security Council, especially the establishment of an immediate and sustainable ceasefire, ensuring protection for the Palestinian civilians, the delivery of humanitarian relief to the Gaza Strip, and the preservation of the two-state solution by granting the State of Palestine, as quickly as possible, a full membership of the United Nations.
