Mr. Attaf holds discussions with Pakistani counterpart in Antalya

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held Friday, in Antalya (Turkiye), discussions with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, on the sidelines of his participation in Antalya Diplomacy Forum,

 the meeting provided "an opportunity to discuss various aspects of the distinguished relations between Algeria and Pakistan and to underscore the importance of intensifying joint efforts to elevate them to higher levels." In this regard, Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, according to the statement, received an invitation from his Pakistani counterpart to pay an official visit to Pakistan.

The two sides discussed, according to the source, "developments in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf region, with Minister Ahmed Attaf commending Pakistan’s mediation efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement among the concerned parties. " The two sides also expressed their hope that these ongoing good-faith efforts would culminate in the formulation of final solutions to the various existing disputes, thereby ensuring lasting security and sustainable stability throughout the region,
