Mr. Attaf holds bilateral talks with Saudi counterpart in Antalya

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks on Saturday in Antalya, Türkiye, with his counterpart from the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, on the sidelines of the second day of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

During the talks, Attaf reaffirmed "Algeria's full solidarity and support for the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) following the attacks it faced amid the military escalation in the Arabian Gulf region," recalling remarks made by President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune during a phone call with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The two ministers also discussed recent regional developments in light of a ceasefire agreement between the parties involved, expressing hope that it would serve "as a starting point for achieving final solutions that ensure the return of security and tranquility to the entire region," 

On bilateral relations, both sides reviewed the "significant momentum" characterizing the partnership between the two countries, particularly in the economic sector, and stressed the need to further strengthen ties in the context of preparations for the inaugural session of the Algerian-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council.
