Mr Attaf holds bilateral talks with his Malaysian counterpart in Istanbul

The minister of State, minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held Sunday in Istanbul, Turkey, bilateral talks with the Malaysian minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamad Hasan, on the sidelines of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC).

The meeting was an opportunity to "discuss the different dimensions of Algerian-Malaysian relations, and the ways to further promote them, especially in economic fields, and explore partnership prospects between Algeria and the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), ahead of our country's imminent accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).
