Mr. Attaf had talks with his Ivorian counterpart

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr.Ahmed Attaf, on Tuesday, held bilateral talks with Côte d’Ivoire’s counterpart, Mr.Kacou Houadja Léon Adom, on the sidelines of the 7th African Union (AU)-European Union (EU) Summit, held on 24-25 November, in Luanda.

Both FMs reviewed bilateral relations and agreed to launch the preparations for the Algeria-Côte d’Ivoire Joint Commission.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the situation in the Sahel-Sahara region.

The two officials stressed the importance of fostering coordination between Algeria and Côte d’Ivoire, in their capacity as members of the African Union (AU) Peace and Security Council (PSC).
