Attaf meets Egyptian counterpart in Jeddah

The minister of Foreign Affairs and National community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, on Wednesday met with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Choukri, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The two officials "discussed the ways to boost ties between Algeria and Egypt and the prospects to promote them to the highest level, in line with the strong will of the leaders of the two countries," the The two sides also "tackled various regional issues of common interest and discussed the main points on the agenda of the ministerial meetings for the preparation of the Arab Summit in Jeddah."

Following their discussions, the ministers of the two sister countries agreed on "stepping up efforts to give a fresh impetus to the mechanisms of bilateral cooperation and coordination in relation to the latest developments in Arab and African countries.
