Attaf hands over written message from President of the Republic to Chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf was received Saturday in Tripoli by the Chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council, Mohamed Younes El-Menfi, to whom he handed over a written message from his brother, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations and hail the historical, brotherly and solidarity bonds between the two brotherly countries.
The two sides focused on several international and regional files of common interest, in top of which the Palestinian cause, developments in the situation in the besieged Gaza Strip and the recent security and political developments in the Sahel-Sahara region.
As for the situation in Libya, Attaf reiterated Algeria’s willingness to contribute as a non-permanent Security Council member, to defend the priorities of the brotherly Libyan people to step up the implementation of a Libyan-Libyan definitive solution to the crisis.”At the end of the audience, the Chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council tasked Ahmed Attaf with conveying his greetings and esteem to the President of the Republic, and his willingness to meet him soon in the hope of pursuing coordination in the best of the interest and expectations of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
