Mrs Mansouri participates in Gabonese president’s swearing-in ceremony

Assigned by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs, Bakhta Selma Mansouri, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Gabonese Republic, Brice Oligui Nguema, which was held Saturday near Libreville.

This inauguration follows the April 12 presidential election won by President Nguema, bringing an end to 19 months of transition and confirming Gabon’s return to constitutional order and the resumption of its participation in regional institutions, foremost the African Union (AU).

The ceremony took place in the presence of 16 heads of state and government, high-ranking personalities and official delegations, demonstrating the regional and international interest in this important political event in the Gabonese Republic.
