Mr.Attaf receives phone call from his Iranian counterpart

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received a telephone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, on Tuesday.

The two ministers discussed the United Nations Security Council’s negotiation process concerning Iran’s nuclear program. Minister Attaf was updated by his Iranian counterpart on the latest developments in this process, particularly following the third round of indirect negotiations and in anticipation of the fourth round under the auspices of the Sultanate of Oman.

Additionally, the ministers exchanged views on the ongoing Palestinian issue amid continued Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip and other occupied Palestinian territories. They addressed the lack of progress toward ending the conflict and securing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to establish an independent and sovereign state with al-Quds as its capital.
