Mr. Attaf receives US Deputy Secretary of State

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Tuesday, at the ministry's headquarters, the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America, Christopher Landau, who is on an official visit to Algeria.
In this regard, Attaf held a one-on-one meeting with Christopher Landau, followed by talks expanded to include members of both countries' delegations.
The discussions allowed both sides to "take stock of the significant momentum currently characterizing the Algerian-American relations across multiple fronts" and to explore ways to build on it further, through the strengthening of strategic dialogue and the consolidation of partnership in key sectors such as energy, investment, innovation, trade, agriculture, aviation and higher education.
The two sides also discussed "a range of regional and international issues of common interest, with particular focus on developments in the Sahel-Saharan region and the ongoing political process for the settlement of the Western Sahara issue .
