Minister Attaf received by Senegal’s President Bassirou Diomaye Faye

Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf was received on Thursday evening, in Dakar, by Senegal’s President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, to whom he handed over a letter from the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
During the audience, Attaf also transmitted to the Senegalese President the heartfelt greetings of the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his willingness to work with him to give a new boost to the Algerian-Senegalese relations.
The two sides examined avenues to promote the historical relations that bind Algeria and Senegal towards broader horizons that enshrine the two Presidents willingness to deepen cooperation and understanding in the best interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
The latest developments in the Sahel-Sahara region and prospects to reach peaceful solutions to the crises threatening peace, security and stability in this region.
For his part, the Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye asked Attaf to transmit his greetings and consideration to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, expressing his wish to meet and work with him to realize their shared vision for developing bilateral relations and fulfilling their shared commitment vis-à-vis peace and development issues at the regional level.
